Lenten Programme “Hope Springs Eternal”
Life is always a challenge and an opportunity.
The world that surrounds us and our inner world are full of promise and also often full of fear or apprehension and tension.
The journey of Lent sums up that dilemma.
We walk the journey with Christ. We are conscious from Ash Wednesday of the fragile nature of life. But we also feel Spring in our hearts and see it emerge in the world of nature.
Jesus’s journey through his life and passion leads to his Resurrection and victory. His experience is also ours as we walk with him and pick up the signals of hope and as we become saturated with the energy of his risen life. It is in him that “hope springs eternal”.
