“Healing Life’s Hurts”
Sunday 17th February. 10.00 – 4.30 p.m. Healing life’s hurts.
Life breaks us all at times but we have amazing resources to face this and grow strong again. Lent always helps us recognise our hurts but also invites us see them in the light of Christ’s suffering and resurrection. The limits of human life make hurt inevitable in human relationships. At times our structures and immaturities damage us. It is a hard road to growth. But it is the only worthwhile way. Eugene O’Neill says: “We are born broken but we live by mending. Love is the glue”.
Tom Mulcahy MSC and Michael Screene MSC bring their lifelong experience of healing to this day of reflection. The group will share experiences, pray, celebrate the sacrament of healing and grow in awareness of the amazing Christian gift that draws us beyond our wounds and gives us the courage to “let go the burdens that oppress and walk with head held high”.
