The Family: The way to growth & happiness.
Date: Saturday 7th March. Time: 10.00 – 4.00 p.m.
Facilitator: Breda O Brien and Brendan Conroy.
This day of reflection on family will deal with the following areas:
1. The Stranger you married. Learning the languages of love.
2. Sharing the Nest. Challenges of Parenting.
3. The Family in the Wider World – Living and Witnessing.
Breda O’Brien and Brendan Conroy have been married since 1990. They have four children ranging in age from early twenties to early teens. Breda is a teacher and is a columnist with the Irish Times and the Irish Catholic. She is also a regular contributor to debates on Radio and Television on religious and social issues.
Brendan has a science degree and worked in banking but took leave of absence to be home educator of their younger children.
He has worked on youth ministry and is very active in parish life, especially in Family Mass group where he is leader of the choir. He loves to write liturgical music and other songs.
